Throughout the month of September, Cold Stone Creamery will be selling Make-A-Wish wall stars to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation, an organization that grants wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions. Be sure to visit your local Cold Stone Creamery to try two new flavors, Nutter Butter® and Marshmallow, and the very special “Make-A-Wish Creations” inspired by Jack and Emily, two Wish Children.

Jack’s Creation – Marshmallow ice cream with OREO® Cookies, Chocolate Chips and Fudge
Emily’s Creation – Nutter Butter® ice cream with White Chocolate Chips, Kit Kat® and Yellow Cake.

For the month of September, Callaloo Cuisine is offering a coupon that lets kids eat free with the purchase of an adult meal when you eat at the Caribbean restaurant in Broadlands. CiCi’s Pizza and Half Price Books have teamed up to create a Summer Reading Program in which kids get a free kids buffet at CiCi’s (with the purchase of an adult buffet) for reading a week’s worth of books.

How kids 10 and under can participate:
1. Get a Feed Your Brain Reading Log at Half Price Books or CiCi’s Pizza.
2. Check off each day they read for 15 minutes or more.
3. Fill out a reading log, and have a parent or guardian sign it.
4. Bring the completed and signed log to Half Price Books or CiCi’s Pizza.
5. Get a Feed Your Brain Reading Reward: your choice of a $3 Shopping Card at Half Price Books OR a Free Kid’s Buffet at CiCi’s Pizza with the purchase of an adult buffet.
6. Repeat steps 1 through 5 every week through Saturday, August 2, 2008.

Limit one per week, per child.

On Friday, July 11, Chick-fil-A is offering free meals to folks who come dressed head-to-toe as a cow … and they mean head to toe. Appropriately costumed adults will get a free Combo meal, while kids get a free kids meal. If you’re not in the moooood (sorry, couldn’t help it) to do that, you can wear “Partial Cow Attire” — meaning vest, purse, hat or other accessory that sports a cow pattern and get just a free entree.
